The Property of Mrs. A. Hingson, Harewood Avenue, London, sold at Sotheby’s, 17 December 1908. The items sold included books, manuscripts and furniture with Moulton-Barrett associations. Annie Hingson was the second wife of Edwin Hingson (1827–1908) who was employed at 50 Wimpole Street when EBB’s father died. Some of the items in this sale had been purchased by Hingson at a sale of Moulton-Barrett household effects held at Wimpole Street in August 1857.
